System

A collection of unified components that convert inputs to outputs. Systems consist of integrated subsystems. Systems are typically complex and highly interconnected. Information systems consist of hardware, software, data, people and procedures. The voting system is more than just a single device. It consists of numerous subsystems, which when unified and controlled, give the voting system its capabilities. Subsystems include vote capture, vote tabulation, reporting, etc.
