Keylogger / Keystroke logger

1. Devices or programmes in operation between the computer and the keyboard to record keystrokes.

2. Software or hardware that tracks keystrokes and keyboard events, usually surreptitiously/secretly, to monitor actions by the user of an information system.

3. Hardware or software-based tools that surreptitiously log user keystrokes to steal sensitive information, including login IDs and passwords.
