Definition

A “ VOTE-CAPTURE DEVICE that gathers votes via an ELECTRONIC VOTER INTERFACE and allows the voter to alter previously ma de votes without spoiling the ballot.” 2007 VVSG. Abbreviated VEDB. This is in contrast to manually ma rked paper ballots, on which alterations can only be made with difficulty. The availability of a VEDB is a HUMAN FACTOR identified in the 2007 VVSG.
