Eight binary digits or the amount of data used to store a character or an integer – a measurement of storage in a computer’s memory or its storage media. The average voter record consists of about 200 characters. That would require 200 bytes of storage, plus some storage for meta data. To store 6 million voter records on a memory card, that card needs to have at least 1.2 Giga Bytes of memory.
