A “product configuration that has been formally submitted for review against the Standards, which thereafter serves as the basis for further development; and can be changed and offered to jurisdictions only through formal change cont rol and requalification procedures (and/or recertification procedures where applicable).” 2002 FEC A-2. Basic Input-Output System A program that handles basic i nput-output operations by interfacing with devices such as the mouse and keyboard and loads the operating system when a computer starts up.
